Does An Ink Black Heart Compute On TV: So I’d never read any Harry Potter novels.
However, last Christmas (skip the obvious joke) I picked up J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike Series and was immediately impressed. Chick can write!
I’m literary restless; it’s always sweet to return to a long series of mystery books with familiar characters like comic books. I miss Sue Grafton, if we’re being honest.
The British crime series is fantastic; highly recommended. Totally dense and delightful books.
(On December 16th J.R Rowling tweeted: “It’s strange and wonderful to watch Strike #6 while sitting with your laptop and working on the plan of Strike #9.”
She’s on the 9th Strike book? Huh. She planned the crime series would go to 10. While I’m not invested in Strike and Robin’s romance: the British class system, the detective work…the suspense those are compelling elements in each novel. It’ll be sad when this investigative series finally wraps.)
The sixth story of BBC’s hit crime drama (in co-production with HBO) airs:
UK-Monday December 16 at 9:00 p.m, on BBC One; followed by a Episode 2 the following night (17th).
US-Thursday December 23 on HBO Max; episodes will roll out weekly on Thursdays.
#SetTheVCR: for all 4 episodes:
I’ve never seen the BBC TV adaptations…however The Ink Black Heart is difficult to adapt. (Crave has a couple of em floating around for Canadians.)
I guess the BBC-HBO plan is to adapt all the novels?
Sammy Says: Yes, yes…I’ve heard J.K. Rowling yada yada…you don’t hafta go to Harry Potter movies or read any of her books. You just gotta leave the people who do like her work alone. When in doubt; change the channel.
