Fire The Fireworks: We’re doing this again. Sigh. Ugh. Meh. Eh.
Ah yes, classic and wholly stupid clickbait: Kylie Kelce’s podcast “defeats” the Joe Rogan Experience: cue the fireworks!
This is a prime example of what I mean by cringey. If I associate with these people launching celebratory fireworks I’m automatically wearing a I’m With Stupid —> t-shirt.
It’s just an overwhelmingly stupid “victory.”
We cued up the exact same moronic fireworks in early 2022 when Joe Rogan was dethroned as the Spotify podcast king by Batman Unburied a DC Comics-Batman podcast. And? How’d that work out?
If you wanna chill with Joe Rogan, go for it. I’m not a fan but I ain’t a hater either. It’s a just a podcast.
What I despise are these dumb fireworks.
It’s clickbait tarted up as progress.
It also doesn’t make any sense. A sustained spell at No. 1 would be impressive. One week here or there? Who Cares.
I’d like to think we can do better in 2025. I doubt we will.
These dumb fireworks are an online tradition, now. This isn’t progress or hope or your team is winning or indicators of taste…it’s just straight up foolishness.
