Morning Tea: Jaws & Peacock Is A Dream Team

Posted on August 8, 2022August 8, 2022 By Sammy Younan No Comments on Morning Tea: Jaws & Peacock Is A Dream Team

Malcolm Gladwell!

Dream Team!

Moe! Brew a strong tea: yo!

The First Yo of The Day.

Even if you’re a Nightcrawler; may you kick off this fresh Monday Morning with the passion and energy of a swashbuckler!

Puttering Around The Woods…

As for today’s cover image: On August 8, 1992 the greatest basketball team ever assembled earned a gold medal with their 117-85 victory over Croatia in the gold medal game of the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Yes: The Dream Team. Magic Johnson: “We had one goal, and that was to win the gold medal, but also blow everybody out, and we did both.” Oh how they did: by an average of 43.8 points, led by Charles Barkley’s 18 points per game on .711 shooting. Head coach Chuck Daly called a grand total of zero timeouts during the team’s eight wins. Heh. Amazing. Just…wow.

I’m Gladwell Malcolm Is Advocating Working From The Office

Pre-Pandemic working from home was a fantastic concept; the companies who adopted that initiative benefited.

However the Pandemic visibility demonstrated a steep cognitive decline; we came outta the pandemic stupider. Like wildly stupid.

Now we’re determined to compound the stupidity and increase the cognitive decline by protesting the office and refusing to commute. Idiots.

Malcolm Gladwell is 100% correct.

We hafta return to the office we’re simply too dumb not to. It’s a good start; what else can we do? How else can we combat cognitive decline? Because protesting the office is literally not working.

A Peacock Has Gotta Fly!

Umm so Peacock is having a strong August.

They added the Good and classic Quantum Leap all 5 seasons; The Black Phone begins streaming on August 12, followed by The End Is Nye on August 25.

Plus they’re the streaming home of Resident Alien: Season 2 starting August 11. (The show is broadcast on August 10 on SYFY). Yo, right? Strong month. #SetTheVCR

It's hot out. 🥵 Why not just stay in and stream? pic.twitter.com/BvumXmXifT

Gimme Some Moe

One of the best Moe Szyslak moments and a Top 10 Simpsons bit.

You don’t hafta be a miner to know this all gold.

"Good because I got a hot date tonight. A date. Dinner with friends. Dinner alone…" pic.twitter.com/Vf7ZQK6rwC

Please Take the IP Road Less Taken…

Who Asked For This??!

“The new Road House will be a reimagined take on the 1989 original movie…”

Why would anyone expect this to be good?
Or decent? Or okay?
Or worth watching?
Or worth making??!

Why? Why: does this need to exist at all??

Space Is The Place

Artemis is a dope name for a spaceship.

Buckle up for the journey of Artemis I, an uncrewed test flight scheduled for August 29! 🚀 This mission will demonstrate the performance of the SLS rocket and the Orion spacecraft.

#TrailerAlert: Jaws (Yes a Trailer Alert for Jaws…)

E.T. can suck it; ghetto alien wanker.

I can’t stand Steven Spielberg but Jaws is one of his few decent flicks. (Aliens come all this way to Earth to play a Casio keyboard? Yo fool; that’s so weak. Hit the bricks.)

Jaws is coming to IMAX on September 2. Cue “This Time…”

#SetTheVCR: Magnum P.I.?

Aw that sucks.

Roger E. Mosley from the good Magnum, P.I.; the only version of the show that matters has passed away. Rest Now. #RIP

I so wanna go back to this series; it’s not on TV. Magnum and WKRP in Cincinnati and Sliders; those are the classic TV shows I wanna return to.
