Check out The Stogies live and you’ll soon be swinging around all funky like them. I promise you. I did at the El Mocambo on March 2013 (as part of CMW). Wow. They were so good.

Travel back in time to March 20, 2013 to visit The Dakota Tavern where CAI.RO are playing CMW (that’s how they spelled it back then):
Once you know, you know. Once you see a Rich Aucoin show, your mind is blown. The colours, the energy, the quirky videos, Rich’s magic lightbulb, the joy… awesome. For me it was seeing him open for K-OS at The Opera House in 2013. Just wow.
After an earlier solo performance at Girth Radio by lead singer Freddie Mojallal, The Autumn Portrait played The Dakota Tavern on Wednesday May 6th to a packed house.
Great music and great atmosphere made for a wonderful night.
Here are a few images captured by Henry of Culture Snap.
Stick around late – that’s when the good stuff comes out! Thats what Henry, our photographer from Culture Snap, found when he stayed into the wee hours at The Horseshoe on opening night of CMW.
That’s when The Luke Austin Band came around to show what they got. What they got makes people up and dance, shake, move and sing. Don’t miss ’em the next time they pick up their guitars and drum sticks.
Here’s a few photos to give you a taste:
Daniel Lanois, multi-Grammy award winning producer and talented musician, played The Horseshoe on Friday May 1st. He played standing with guitar, seated at his pedal steel guitar, and standing working his mojo at a soundboard, the latter especially for songs off his latest CD, Flesh and Machine.
Between songs from he playfully bantered with the audience about whiskey, the ladies in the back and raffling off band members.
A great show by a truly global Canadian artist.
Terra Lightfoot – a Hamilton singer-songwriter (not related to Gordon Lightfoot) signed to Sonic Unyon records – put on an incredible show at The Horseshoe as the opening act for superstar musician and producer Daniel Lanois.
Henry of Culture Snap Photography was there to catch her live for Girth Radio.
Here are a few shots from her show.
