Reacher: Season 4 is a compelling rebuke of Season 3.
The pace has quickened, the season trucks along like a propulsive Michael Connelly police procedural. (Different writer, I get it…)
Season 3 was tepid, slow and silly.
Season 4 is a swift restoration of what makes the fisticuffs series fun:
brawling and busting stuff.
Just three episodes in (now streaming on Prime Video) this season offers enough intrigue and a taut complex cover-up that keeps Reacher—and viewers—heavily involved and invested.
Reacher’s assessment was issued in the season’s trailer:
“Your sister’s involved in something big enough that the federal government’s worried… and people are trying to work me over on the street because of it.”
Later, Reacher affirms his creed with a quintessential brief belief:
“I’m good at not letting people get away with things.”
Reacher knows who he is and what his brand is all about.
However, the best Reacher philosophy takes place in a bowling alley. This should be a TED Talk.
Thick Neck is meeting with some shady types flanked by hired gun mercenaries. As the sketchy meeting unfolds, Reacher casually takes a handful of the henchmen’s fries. The annoyed goon issues a yooo! look to Reacher.
Reacher responds: “Fries are communal.”
Apparently, Reacher doesn’t like to help so much as he likes to help himself.
Oh and if you’re Gen X…you’ll totally dig the killer soundtrack. Another great reason to #SetTheVCR.
Reacher: Season 4 premieres with three episodes on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, followed by weekly episode releases culminating with the debut of Neagley on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
Sammy Verdict: Fries are communal and so is this Reacher season.
