The best science fiction be it a TV show like Doctor Who or Star Trek: The Next Generation (and we mention both in this nerdy My Summer Lair conversation) or books or even comics (Les and I talk about Professor X in X-Men comics) effectively contemplate the human condition.
We are frail creatures not just physically where so much can harm us but also we’re mentally vulnerable.
And from this stew of sci-fi mixed with the unique human perspective comes More or Les’ latest rap album: The Human Condition. More or Les is on a sonic mission to connect…as we endure this pandemic with endless lockdowns devoid of human contact but also literally fresh pop culture with spellbinding tales. The mental ends can become frayed.
We can get lost emotionally and spiritually.
However this isn’t a totally serious album or even a serious discussion there is fun and nerdery and nostalgia. Such as Transformers, Back to the Future, The Prime Directive, Secret Avengers, Conan The Barbarian, Predator and Terminator. Whew.
