The return of a fresh NBA season brings with it the fist pumping joy of…commercials.
Surprisingly it’s not all about the Superbowl; throughout the NBA season viewers will chuckle, marvel and even gasp at some of the marvelous ads. The commercials are as much a fun part of the entertainment package as the actual games and household name players.
(Though over the last couple of years that joy has been watered down with weak attempts by funless Fortune 500 tech companies like Apple peddling cool; Under Armour in attempt run the bulls with Nike released a cringy Jamie Foxx ad…they’re better this year…just not there yet).
Foot Locker is a witty part of that NBA tradition; returning with its fourth-annual “Week of Greatness” featuring Tracy Morgan…an outstanding addition to the two tv spots.
One of the ads Imitators is alright but it’s Greatness in Common that’s tighter than the 90s Knicks defense.
Directed by Jim Jenkins he makes tv fun…you probably don’t know the name but you know the work: Brady Bunch Snickers, Joe Pesci Snickers and several older Week of Greatness ads. Thanks Jim!
Watch Greatness in Common now so you can still get your pee break during your next NBA game:
