My Summer Lair Chapter #89: How Did You Get Your Name?
You know I don’t know how Fearless Fred got his nickname…forgot to ask. Which is fine it’s good some mysteries remain unsolved.
I met Fred many moons ago when I was Lunch Boy at Edge 102. (I showed up everyday at lunch and hung out with the radio djs…I didn’t bring them lunch. Well..I did bring my own lunch. Hence: Lunch Boy! Get it? On second thought maybe it’s not a great big mystery why he’s called Fearless Fred.) (You can now hear Fred on Q107 beaming from downtown Toronto.)
I hit it off with Fred because we speak the same language: nerd. Fred comes from the Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy side of the house and I’m a science-fiction type so we met in the middle on comics!
Inspiringly Fred didn’t just read comics…he branched out to making them.
