My Summer Lair Chapter #65: What Parenting Tips Do You Have For Raising A Ghost Child?

“Blood Child a supernatural horror thriller based on a true story. A young woman, Ashley DiAngelo suffers a devastating miscarriage. In a desperate attempt to get over the agony of losing her child, Ashley resorts to the South East Asian black magic practice of rising her own “ghost child”. She seeks the help of her Indonesian maid, Siti, and tasks her to find a “bomoh” (witch doctor) who is able to trap the soul of unborn children. However, what Ashley does not realize is that there are terms and conditions attached to raising a ghost child. When Ashley finds herself pregnant again, a series of terrifying events begin to unfold in the DiAngelo home. The family soon learns that the ghost child is not about to play second fiddle to the impending new addition to the family and unleashes an unspeakable evil upon the family.”

Oh Snap!

Blood Child 65

This horror movie will premiere at Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival on Saturday November 25 at 2pm.

I spoke to the following individuals during Blood In the Snow’s Media Day:
Part 1:
Cynthia Lee MacQuarrie who plays the ghost child’s conduit Siti
Jennifer Phillips who directed the ghost child
Tara Chitaroni who plays the ghost child! Yo…

Part 2:
Alyx Melone who plays the ghost child’s mother Ashley DiAngelo
Emily Schooley who is the movie’s line producer

I split up this interview into 2 parts since it’s easier to consume…5 or 6 voices is a lot for a podcast.

No matter which part you listen to…you’ll pick up some handy parenting tips…it’s not easy raising a ghost child.

78/52 is played at Hot Docs 2017…and is now on Hulu and other similar streaming services.
