Let’s talk about last night’s NXNE fun. Our evening started at Pacific Junction Hotel with Luke Roes Ivory Hours’ front man as our In Session With Girth… guest who played some songs acoustically. I’m stumped which versions I liked more, particularly with the song Warpaint.
The official is so much fun…
But live performances tend to trump by my standards. They’re just so savory!
After that, it was off to catch some sweet NXNE bands over at Adelaide Hall like Lucius and Foxtrott.
Gotta say that Montreals Foxtrott had a pretty sick set! The rhythmic percussion kept it live, plus the unique incorporation of the french horn. The vocals too were noteworthy in their power, yet maintained softness, making it a treat for your ears.
Sammy went to #Paper100 hosted by Lana Gay featuring a multitude of bands.
Jay saw A Place to Bury Strangers, Tink and Kate Tempest plus so much.
So much amazing rock n rol.
NXNE: Good Times.
