Did you catch it? In Pakistan…see that phrase? He shot an interdependent film…in Pakistan.
I found this fascinating…like it’s hard enough to shoot and make an indie film period…full stop. Then to do that in Pakistan. Surreal…I wanna know more about that experience and about the movie.
Did you catch it? “While caring for his ailing wife…” yeah as you’ll hear I struggled to properly classify Altered Skin. There is a love story of sorts…part of the movie is grounded in a relationship…that may or may not be. For the record Adnan considers the movie to be a conspiracy thriller. That works for me.
Did you catch it? The virus spreading through Pakistan is MN-2; Sedare manufactured by Ingenec (a local pharmaceutical company) and sells the cure as an adhesive patch. Only as you see in the short description above…there is “a deadly pharmaceutical conspiracy.” Oh Boy.
Did you catch it? Altered Skin will have its World Premiere at Blood In The Snow Canadian Film Festival on Friday November 23, 2018 at 7:00 pm.
