Hidden Gem: Richard Cheese & Lounge Against The Machine “Hotline Bling”

Posted on June 6, 2016March 9, 2023 By Sammy Younan

Sammy Younan

Girth Radio Presents…

Richard Cheese is the Frank Sinatra version of Weird Al. Does that even make sense?

What’s odd about his rendition of Drake’s Hotline Bling is…how sincere it is. Richard plays it straight making Drake’s meme machine into a legit plaintive yearn. Thankfully the rest of Supermassive Black Tux is Richard in fine comedic form.

Fun Facts

  • From Supermassive Black Tux released on December 10, 2015
  • You can hear his voice as the V.R. Newsman in Batman Beyond and other related DC animated works (how cool is that!)
  • Fight For Your Right (to Party) and Beat It both as classic as their originals
