Date Night With The NBA: It’s like an NBA Christmas all over again.
NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC returns for select Saturdays beginning January 25, 2025:
Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves is at 3 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m. is Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks.
While the Prime Time game is the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors at 8:30 pm.
NBA Countdown kicks off that contest at 8 p.m.
Apparently this is something called…NBA Rivals Week (January 22 through 25)? This sounds like the NBA Cup…another cheap gimmick to lure younger and deeply ignorant viewers.

(Also on NBA TV tonight? ESPN’s first regular season NBA game in Paris, France. Indeed on January 25 the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama take on the Indiana Pacers and Tyrese Haliburton.)
Programming Note: The NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC is different than the NBA Sunday Showcase on ABC. The Sunday Showcase won’t kick off until February 9th. Whatever.
Are we still clutching pearls because NBA TV ratings are down? Silly narrative that won’t die this season.

As we inch into February…who looks Championship good?
