It’s cold outside so…no need to put on pants. Let’s stay inside, brew some tea and see what’s on tv.

Valley of the Boom: Miniseries (9 p.m.) Nat Geo
A million dollars isn’t cool. You know what’s cool? A billion dollars. I enjoyed Social Network as did many others so of course the it was inevitable that similar stories would be mined from real life and told in spectacular Hollywood fashion. This 6 episode miniseries covers the 1990s tech boom and bust. Emphasis on bust.
Monday, January 14
The Passage: Season 1 (9 p.m.) Fox
The Passage debuting tonight is Fox’s latest sci-fi quirky things are not right tv show.
Based on the novels by Justin Cronin, the drama “focuses on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race.”
Eh…sounds a bit tv like but what makes it worth a look is the individuals involved.
Behind the camera Ridley Scott and Matt Reeves are the executive producers (and Matt Reeves as the Planet of the Apes guy knows about the potential to wipe out the human race…). So that helps.
In front of the camera the cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saniyya Sidney, Jamie McShane and Emmanuelle Chriqui (who is charming and lovely!).
So some potential…potential for good and potential for cheeze:
