Arcade Fire will release their movie The Reflektor Tapes worldwide on September 24, 2015 but like any non-menu McDonald’s sandwich it’s only here for a limited time. (They issued the “for a limited time” caveat…I dunno what that means in the digital era where nothing is scarce and easily accessible and reproducible).
From the official statement:
“The Reflektor Tapes will be a unique cinematic experience, meeting at the crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history.” Get the feeling they won’t be showing an arty movie like this in The Suburbs.
Sammy’s Status: I’m curious…I think I’m in. I also need to make peace with Reflektor the album…Neon Bible is sublime, Suburbs is fantastic…Reflektor remains my homework. Don’t give up on me!
