Girth Radio Presents…
I know…it’s a bit weird to check out The History of Comedy on CNN. And no there’s no Trump involved…as funny as that is. This original CNN mini-series exploring the history of comedy and what makes our funny bones sing premieres on Thursday, February 9, at 10 p.m. EST on…well CNN. Cue James Earl Jones.
From the media release:
The History of Comedy features interviews with Carol Burnett, Larry David, Betty White, Sarah Silverman, Senator Al Franken, Margaret Cho, Samantha Bee, Jimmy Kimmel, Kathy Griffin, George Lopez, Keegan-Michael Key, Dick Gregory, Conan O’Brien, Patton Oswalt, Dick Cavett, Ali Wong, W. Kamau Bell and more.
I’m curious how CNN is gonna handle the cursing and adult topics? Just drop it. It’s 2017 they should just Man Up; Nut Up. (Are we still censoring language for kids? Sensitive religious types? PC Nutters? I don’t get it…there’s far worse things on the internet than swears, yo.)
The premiere episode, “Going Blue,” looks at groundbreaking comedians like George Carlin and Lenny Bruce who dared to embrace the risqué side of comedy.”
Sold! I’m in…the VCR is set:
