Tales from the Iceman!
I’m Your Huckleberry is tight; his memoir is freshtastic and read worthy. This’ll be reduced to worthless TMZ gossip but ignore that crap. Dude’s a fine writer.
As he reveals: “Going through my filmography, my first reaction is that these films have nothing to do with my life. My second reaction is that they have everything to do with my life.”
To give you a sense of the book’s themes here are the popular and consist words he employs:
Love (used 236 times)
Light (63 times)
Pray (33)
Joy (30)
Magic (29)
Hope (24)
Faith (20)
and Cher (mentioned 96 times! He Cher’s a lot about their wonderful relationship; get the feeling he wants to Turn Back Time.)
Plus and of course: Top Gun; Tombstone, Doors, Heat (!!), The Saint, Real Genius etc. Yo. (Somebody needs to give the brother a fist bump for Iceman and a high five for his most excellent Tombstone moustache.)
It’s been a wonderful uneven run with Val Kilmer. His health is worrisome as per this book; I hope we get more cinematic tales from Iceman.
