Girth Radio Presents…
Recently featured More or Les as an In Session With Girth… guest; super stoked to get into his fantastic album Blow the Fuck Up But Stay Humble. And we do…eventually; after hobo ramblings about comics and the Doctor. I ah, sorta got all sidetracked; I got distracted by a bright blue police box. My bad.
In the interview More or Les drops dimes: “The culture of hip hop is really the thing I’m interested in being involved in. I’m interested in the movement of the positive aspects of the culture…music is there for everybody.”
His POV and his music reminds me hip hop’s early days where there was a distinct number of voices; a number of (black) experiences were presented…from Public Enemy (politics), Tribe Called Quest (chillin), Kid n Play (party) to N.W.A. (gansta).
What cracked me up is the reviews he and Wordburglar get following shows: “I don’t like rap but…I like you!” Heh…so absurd. So of course all of that inspired this fantastic track: Hate Rap.
Hatorade never tasted so sweet.
